Jointly hosted by KTH and RISE and featuring the award ceremony of the Akzo Nobel Prize in Surface Chemistry.

The programme will be inclusive while reflecting surface and materials chemistry at the cutting edge. It will emphasise the scientific diversity of the field in Sweden and balance contributions from Academia, Institutes and Industry.

Sweden is world leading in this area and we have a dynamic and vibrant community; it is more important than ever that we seize the opportunity to get together, renew ties, expose our work to each other, and perhaps even consider our national interests in the discipline.

For students, an online doctoral course in Surface and Materials Characterisation will be run after the summer and culminate in the symposium  the course is lectured and examined by world renowned Prof Ralph Nuzzo.

The symposium will also host a program meeting of the FORMAMP project concerning nanoformulation of antimicrobial peptides.
