Green Chemistry
3 April 2017 in Stockholm, Sweden

This symposium will present the state-of-the art in the research field ”Green Chemistry”, a timely research topic that can be summarized as research related to the design and synthesis of chemicals in a sustainable way – making benign compounds through sustainable technologies.
Seven international leaders in the field have accepted to give a talk and their contributions will cover topics for example including the use of biomass and CO2 for chemical synthesis, the development of new catalytic reactions for chemical synthesis and the use of new, more benign solvents in a variety of chemical applications.

We hope to inspire those who already are doing green chemistry but we also think that this symposium will encourage all participants to apply the principles of green chemistry in their own research. There is an enormous potential in this and all practioners of some form of chemical synthesis (whether in universities or in industry) can do this in a greener way inspired by the participating world leaders.
