SUMMARY:Webinar: Good Chemistry – Do Chemists Need Ethics?
DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to invite you to our webinar “Good Chemistry – Do Chemists Need Ethics?”. This webinar will take place online on Thursday 07 October\, from 10:00 to 11:30 CEST.  \nDr. Jan Mehlich\, a recipient of the 2020 EuChemS Award for Service and member of the EuChemS Working Party on Ethics in Chemistry\, is our speaker for this event. He will be welcomed and introduced by Prof. Floris Rutjes\, EuChemS President. \nDuring this webinar\, the attendees will be guided through cases and scenarios that illustrate vividly how chemists who embrace their social responsibilities by practicing ethics skills contribute to more sustainable techno-scientific progress and innovation.  \nFor more information about the event please have a look at the EuChemS website or contact us at events@euchems.eu.  \nWe kindly invite you to register for this event here and share this invitation with others as you find appropriate.  \nWe are looking forward to meeting you online on 07 October.

SUMMARY:Online Course: Emulsion Formulation Technology
DESCRIPTION:This 3-day course covers fundamental and practical aspects of the formulation of emulsions with surfactants\, macromolecules and particles. The course\, held online for the second time\, aims at providing an overview of the combined effect of physicochemistry\, composition and emulsification protocols on the stability and properties of emulsified systems. The 3 sessions of the course will be held on: 12 Oct\, 19 Oct and 26 Oct 2021. \nThe course is intended for people with a technical background working in research\, development\, formulation and characterisation of emulsions\, be it for paint\, food\, pharmaceutical\, nutraceutical\, coatings\, agrochemical or other engineering applications. It also encourages researchers and academics interested in how the knowledge in surface science can be translated into formulation engineering know-how.
