Docent\, Ångströmlaboratoriet\, Uppsala universitet\nTitel: Modern partikelfysik med det senaste från LHC vid CERN. \nAbstrakt: The Latest from Particle Physics: Where We Stand and What Comes Next.\nParticle physics studies the smallest components of matter and their interaction. Its biggest recent breakthrough was the discovery of the Higgs boson at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN in 2012. After 16 years of operations\, most of them as the only accelerator of its kind\, the LHC is preparing for a long shutdown to upgrade for the coming decades of collisions. What has happened at the LHC since the Higgs discovery? What are the plans for its next stage? And most importantly: what is the plan for the field in the long term? SUMMARY:20th Norwegian meeting in mass spectrometry in Geilo 24 - 27 jan 2027
DESCRIPTION:Dear MS colleague\, \nit is with great pleasure that we can announce the 20th Norwegian meeting in mass spectrometry in the beginning of 2027. NSMS  will be organising this meeting which will be held at the Vestlia Resort in Geilo from January 24th to January 27th.\nCheck out our webpages (https://nsms.no/en/) for more information and for registration. PhD- / master students have the opportunity to apply for travel funding via NSMS (https://nsms.no/en/fond/). NSMS can fund up to 7500 NOK if the student is contributing with a scientific content of a speak or a poster.\nStudents who have extra expensive cost of travelling NSMS can consider to exceed this amount with extra funding more than 7500 NOK. \nThere are good reasons to participate at this meeting:\n– we have invited many good international speakers who will present various exciting subjects within mass spectrometry\n– exhibitors will show the latest instrumentation\, tools and techniques within our field\n– there is plenty of time to be social\, active or lazy\n– there will be served good food\n– both indoor and outdoor there are many possibilities at Vestlia Resort (https://vestlia.no) \nFollow us on our webpages (https://nsms.no/en/) and on social media.\nThe regular registration and abstract deadline is December 1st.\nInformation on how to register and how to send an abstract are available here: https://nsms.no/en/pamelding/ \nFor the upcoming weeks NSMS will send out new invoice to our exhisiting NSMS members where the membership fee now is 200 NOK pr year \nOn behalf of the organising committee\, \nJan Arild Hustad (NSMS)
