SUMMARY:Kinase Drug Discovery - Strategies for Success - A day to learn from experts
DESCRIPTION:A half day dedicated to kinases in drug discovery organized by SciLifeLab DDD in collaboration with AstraZeneca. \nKinases continue to attract much attention in drug discovery. Since the first compounds were launched in 2001 the learning curve of how to tackle different challenges has been steep. At the symposium we hope to give a broad overview where the field stands today and the different approaches one can take in drug discovery when interacting with kinases. \nIn the late afternoon we will dive deeper into the details of data generation and data interpretation to learn and discuss different techniques that can be applied to increase the chance for success. \nThe meeting is believed to be valuable for researchers in the area of drug discovery like medicinal chemists\, structural biologists\, pharmacologists\, protein scientists\, toxicologists etc. \nThis is a hybrid event. SUMMARY:Role of Analytical Chemistry in Drug Product Development – Characterization and Quality Control
DESCRIPTION:Preliminary Program: \nAnalytical chemistry play an important role in the development of new medicines. Beside the analytical scientific technical skill other areas as regulatory knowledge and capability to facilitate risk assessment events to generate appropriate Control Strategies are of highest interest. This analytical chemistry theme day will give the participants a holistic view of the role analytical chemist play in drug development. The day will cover early to late stage of development and the Quality Control performed in the commercial manufacturing area. Participants can expect interesting lectures from several pharmaceutical companies and from the Swedish Medicinal Product Agency. The day will be of high interest for all members of drug development dealing with analytical chemistry and Quality Control. Now leaving the pandemic restrictions the organization committee hope for an interactive day at the AstraZeneca site in Gothenburg. See more here.

DESCRIPTION:Joseph Samec\, professor vid Stockholms universitet föreläser onsdagen 29 mars kl 19.00 i Magnélisalen.
