DESCRIPTION:WELCOME TO THE HAGUE! \n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe are pleased to invite you to join us in the beautiful city The Hague for IUPAC|CHAINS2023 in August 2023. During the conference\, themed ‘Connecting Chemical Worlds’\, we bring together all disciplines of chemistry\, a diverse audience of chemists from both academia and industry\, and from all around the globe. Apart from plenary and keynote lectures\, the congress will include parallel sessions with oral presentations\, working group meetings and poster presentations by junior and senior researchers. The conference consists of several parts\, namely the 52nd IUPAC General Assembly (18-25 August 2023) and the 49th IUPAC World Chemistry Congress combined with the 11th edition of CHAINS\, the largest chemistry congress from the Netherlands (20-25 August 2023). IUPAC|CHAINS2023 is organized by the Royal Netherlands Chemical Society (KNCV) and the Dutch Research Council (NWO). The IUPAC World Chemistry Congress is organized biennially with recent previous editions in Sao Paolo (2017)\, Paris (2019) and digitally in Montreal (2021). DESCRIPTION:About the symposium\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWelcome to the symposium Trends in Organic Chemistry 2023 – Chemical Biology in Umeå the 24th of August. \nThe symposium will be held in the Carl Kempe Lecture Hall at KBC building\, Umeå University. \nThis symposium is one in a series of annual meetings called “Trends in organic chemistry” (TOC). The organization of a one-day TOC-symposium by Umeå University and the Swedish Chemical Society\, with the theme “Chemical Biology” would not only serve as a starting point for scientists who seek to explore the power of chemical biology in their research but also present opportunities for establishing new research collaborations and exchanging research experiences at the interface of Chemistry and Biology. DESCRIPTION:Utö gruvors geologi\, mineral och upptäckten av litium \nVälkomna på guidad utflykt till Utö gruva den 15 september med inledande föredrag i Magnélisalen\, SU\, den 31 augusti kl. 18.30-19.30.\nJörgen Langhof är vår ciceron åp Utö. \nUtö och delar av sydöstra skärgården är geologiskt sett en del av Bergslagen. Här har järnmalm brutits från 1100-talet fram till 1870-talet och försett många av järnbruken längs Norrlandskusten\, men även en del finländska järnbruk\, med järnmalm.
