Hugo Theorell
Hugo Theorell (1903-1982) var en av pionjärerna inom den internationella biofysikaliska forskningen. Theorell fick Nobelpriset för fysiologi eller medicin 1955 för sitt grundläggande arbete rörande oxiderande enzymer.
Om Hugo Theorellpriset
Priset delas ut till en framgångsrik ung forskare inom biofysik som är verksam i Sverige och inte har fyllt 45 år under utdelningsåret.
Hugo Theorellpriset är en vetenskaplig utmärkelse som delas ut i samband med Svenska konferensen om Makromolekylers Struktur och Funktion (Sweprot[1]). I utmärkelsen ingår förutom ett diplom också prissumman 5000 kronor. Priset instiftades 1991 och delas ut av Svenska Föreningen för Biokemi, Biofysik och Molekylärbiologi (SFBBM[2]).
Nomineringen ska beskriva kandidatens enastående vetenskapliga prestationer inom biofysik, samt innehålla en beskrivning av hens nuvarande position, samt personliga prestationer (max 5000 bokstäver). Dessutom ska CV och publikationslista för kandidaten bifogas. Allt fylls i via följande formulär (https://www.kemikonferens.se/theorell-priset/) senast den 13 februari 2023.

Hugo Theorell
Hugo Theorell (1903-1982) was one of the pioneers in international biophysical research. Theorell received the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1955 for his ground laying work on oxidizing enzymes.
About the Hugo Theorell Prize
The prize is awarded to a successful young researcher who is active in biophysics in Sweden and has not turned 45 during the year of the award.
The Hugo Theorell Prize is a scientific award given in connection with the Swedish Conference on Macromolecular Structure and Function (Sweprot1). In addition to a diploma, the award also includes a prize of SEK 5,000. The prize was established in 1991 and is awarded by the Swedish Society for Biochemistry, Biophysics and Molecular Biology (SFBBM2).
The nomination should describe the candidate’s outstanding scientific achievements in biophysics, and contain a description of the candidate’s current position, as well as personal achievements (maximum 5000 characters). In addition, the CV and publication list for the candidate should be attached.
