The Young Investigator Workshops, YIW, for 2021 and 2022 will be held jointly in Lisbon in 2022, in connection with the 8th EuChemS Chemistry Congress ECC 2022, (August 28th – September1st, 2022, https://euchems2022.eu/
Participation in YIW is a great opportunity to discuss chemistry with talented young investigators from EU countries, as well as some established investigators. The number of young investigators is limited and participants should not be older than 40 years on December 31, 2020 (YIW 2021) and December 31, 2021 (YIW 2022) and must have started an independent research career.
The Division for Organic Chemistry (Sektionen för organisk kemi) will nominate two young investigators to attend the jointly held YIW in 2022.
The division covers travel costs for participation in YIW with up to SEK 8.000 incl. accommodation. Upon combined participation in YIW and the following up 8th ECC with a presentation (oral presentation or poster), costs for travel, accommodation and registration fee will be covered up to SEK 15.000. The recipient is expected to present a short report suitable for publication on the website and newsletter.
Your application should be written in English with a short statement about why you want to participate in YIW, and a short CV (1 A4 page) including details showing that you:
(a) have been established as an independent researcher for at least a year
(b) are not older than 40 years
(c) are a member of The Division for Organic Chemistry (Sektionen för organisk kemi)
