
Overview
The Chemistry Europe Travel Grant supports early-career researchers with €2,000 for short-term research stays (1-2 months) at institutions outside the country of their current home institution.
Background
• Established: 2024
• Purpose: Support international research collaboration for young scientists
Eligibility Requirements
• Career Stage: 2+ years post-PhD
• Membership: Must be a member of a participating CE chemical society
• Research Stay: 1-2 months at an institution in a different country than the applicant’s current home institution
Grant Details
• Amount: €2,000 per recipient.
• Number of Grants: One per participating society
• Use of Funds: To support the research stay
• Timeline: Research stay must begin within 18 months of selection
• If publications arise from the research stay: Winners must acknowledge CE travel grant
• Recipients must allow CE to collect dates and location of their research stay for communication purposes

Application Process
•July – November 1: Application period
•November – December: Society selection process
•December 31: Societies report winners to CE
•Beginning of January: Winners announced first by CE, then, if desired, by societies
