The 29th Swedish Conference on Macromolecular Structure and Function meeting (Sweprot 2026) took place this weekend, in Tällberg, Dalarna, Sweden. The four-day meeting offered an interesting scientific program, as well as poster presentations and social activites. Sweprot 2026 attracted 130 people to beautiful Tällberg in Dalarna.
FEBS open Bio Poster prize winner

Johanna Hultmann from LiU was awarded 200 Euro for the FEBS Openbio Posterprize for her poster The N-Myc MB0-MBI region interacts specifically and dynamically with the N-lobe of Aurora kinase A.
She won the prize for the best oral presentation
Gabrielle Wehlander from University of Gothenburg was awarded the Chemistry Europe Prize of 200 Euro for the best oral presentation of a junior scientist for her presentation ”Structural investigation of the reaction mechanism of a glucuronyl esterase using time-resolved serial crystallography”.

Award lecture
On Friday June 12th, Nils Landegren, this year’s Svedberg prize winner, held a lecture ”Autoimmunity – when your immune system turns against you”. Read an interview about him and his research here.
