The Swedish Mass Spectrometry Society (SMSS) has opened nominations for the 2026 Berzelius Medals.

Gold Berzelius Medal

Awarded for a distinguished single or lifetime contribution to Swedish mass spectrometry, fundamental or applied. Nominees do not need to be SMSS members but should have a connection to Sweden.

Silver Berzelius Medal

Awarded to an early-career scientist for significant contributions to Swedish mass spectrometry. Nominees must be SMSS members and within 15 years of their Ph.D. at the time of nomination.

Both awards are presented at the SCS2027 conference and include a medal and award lecture.

We encourage you to nominate outstanding colleagues who have advanced mass spectrometry through research, innovation, and leadership.
