23rd European Bioenergetics Conference (EBEC-2026) in Stockholm

Dear Colleagues,
I would like to ask your help spread the word of the 23rd European Bioenergetics Conference (EBEC-2026) that will take place in Aula Magna (the “Nobel Prize” lecture hall) in beautiful Stockholm, on Aug 22-27, 2026.
EBEC 2026 will cover a wide range of topics, from fundamental mechanistic principles of biological energy conversion to evolution and mitochondrial physiology in health and disease. The topics are discussed from the atomic to whole organism levels, combining exciting scientific and methodological developments in the field. We thus believe that it will provide an excellent opportunity to present your latest work.
The conference will start in the afternoon of Saturday Aug 22 with the Peter Mitchell Medal, and continue until the evening of Thursday 27, ending at the Stockholm City Hall. The conference dinner will take in the Vasa Museum, next to the ship from 1628. We have over 40 invited talks by leading experts in the field and selected more than exciting 60 talks from submitted abstracts.
It is possible to register to EBEC until the start of the meeting, with late registration from July 1. We will accept late abstracts until June 26th.
For more information, please see: https://ebec2026.org/
As EBEC does not rely on any organization sponsoring the meeting, securing enough participants is essential for the conference.
We would thus kindly ask you to spread the word to interested colleagues and team members to join us in Stockholm. Please also find a flyer attached.
We are very much looking forward of welcoming you to Stockholm.
Sincerely yours,
Ville Kaila
